Applications
The BP Series is designed at IDE specifically for integration into raised floors in cleanrooms to optimize available space. PD Series pneumatic isolators with minimal height requirements make it possible to adjust BP Series systems to any raised floor design. Platform sizes are custom-fitted to the isolated equipment and/or the raised floor's grid.
Block platforms hold devices weighing between 100 kg (220 lbs.) and 20,000 kg (44,000 lbs.). Like the CP Series, the effectiveness of the isolation system depends on the isolators used.
Vibration measurements at the actual installation site are recommended to determine appropriate choices. |

Design
As with cradle platforms, BP Series systems are combined with custom sized PD or TC Series isolators. The block platforms are of welded steel modular construction with particular emphasis on a low center of gravity. Quartz sand is used to fill the housing and provide structural damping. The fill is then sealed-in to meet cleanroom requirements.
For greater damping, visco-elastic constrained layer laminates may be attached to the top and bottom of the platform. When active isolators are used, the platforms may be made of granite, which may increase the platform thickness.
IDE has ready-made solutions available for almost all cleanroom designs and equipment.
